Large buildings have a wide range of construction equipment, it has a scattered distribution, traditional single communication network can not be good for data communication and information exchange, therefore, in order to achieve a large green intelligent building automation systems equipment in the background, through analysis of building lighting, hot and cold source conditioning equipment, air-conditioning treatment equipment, water supply and drainage equipment monitoring requirements, this paper gives the difficulty of achieving large-scale building automation system and the relative measures, designs the building equipment automation systems based on two-tier structure of RS-485 communication network, the main contents include:(1) By analysis and comparison various types of field-bus networks, including RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 serial communication technology, make suitable for the large-scale building automation system communication network equipment and communications protocols;(2) Analysis and compare different technology platforms to achieve serial communication network to determine the implementation of the building automation system;(3) Analysis the control requirements for lighting, heat source control equipment, air conditioning equipment, plumbing equipment and other equipment, construct the serial communication network;(4) Design the system control software, including body design, database design and interface design.This paper comes up with the building equipment automation systems based on two-tier structure of RS-485 communication network, the result shows that the implementation is real-time and it has a high reliability.
