China’s medium and long term railway network plan, a clear planning and construction of18railway container logistics terminal, greatly promoted the development of China railway container transport. The development of China railway container handing station is in the direction of standardization, large-scale, centralized and modernization gradually. Compare to the traditional railway container handing station, railway container logistics terminal has many differences in function, design, transportation organization and management. As the first level handing station of the railway container transportation, Railway container logistics terminal is a vital node of railway container transport network and container multimodal transport. Railway Container logistics terminal of logistics capability and operation efficiency directly affects the efficiency of the container transportation network. The purpose of evaluating of logistics capacity of railway container terminals is to rational allocation of facilities and equipment in planning and construction period and to improve the operational efficiency in the operation period. As for the existing problems related to the research of Railway container terminal, this paper proposes a new simulation and evaluation method which is applied to evaluate logistics capability of railway container logistics terminals on the basis of previous research and combining with the actual operation situation of China’s container terminals. The research content of this thesis is divided into the following sections:(1) Analysis of China railway container transport development status, existing problems and China’s railway container terminals development trend in the future.(2) Analysis of facilities and equipment configuration of China’s railway container terminals, divided the container terminal into7functional areas, and summing up the container operation flow and the whole process in the terminals.(3) Definition of railway container terminal logistics capability in this paper, and divided the capability into four parts accordance with the function, that is logistics capability of railway transportation system, logistics capability of loading and unloading system, logistics capability of container yard system, and logistics capability of truck transportation. This paper summarizes the factors affecting the ability of logistics center station(4) Put forward a new simulation method to evaluate a new method for evaluation of railway container logistics center logistics capability, expounds the principle and process of simulation evaluation. This paper constructs the evaluation index system of railway container logistics terminals.(5) The dynamic Petri net model is established in this paper stands in the center of logistics capability simulation, and simulation model is established by using Plant Simulation software.(6) Taking Xi’an railway container logistics center as an example for simulation modeling, simulation, get the center of statistical index, find the bottleneck, and the simulation results were verified.
