Building energy conservation plays an important part in social sustainabledevelopment, which leads the world trend and is in great demand.With rapid economicdevelopment and constant improvement in people’s living standards, energyconsumption of heating air conditioning has increased substantially.China is faced withsevere energy pinch, energy-extensive consumption is bound to restrict the regionaleconomic development and the improvement of people’s living standards.Access toeffective measures to reduce building energy consumption has proved to be a criticalsubject of study.The present study belongs to longitudinal research on Energy Efficiency ofResidential Buildings in Wuhan. In combination with climate and geography conditionsand architectural features in Wuhan, the author adopts design builder as the researchtool to make analysis on energy consumption of buildings with different outer buildingenvelope. The main work completed is as follows:(1) Selective analysis of the energy simulation software Design Builder has beenconducted, then research model is established according to the constructioncharacteristics of Wuhan, typical constructions are selected as analysis object to carryout initial modeling and energy consumption calculation, thus cooling and heating loadproportion related to various components of building envelope has been concluded tomake actual energy-saving conditions of typical residential building in Wuhan obvious.The study of strategies related to “roof and wall concern thermal insulation and heatinsulation, external windows stresses heat insulation” is conducted based on theabove-mentioned conclusion.(2) Using computer simulation techniques to perform calculate energyconsumption and data comparison (including instant time temperature, heat gain, heatloss analysis, etc.) for purpose of comparative analysis on energy-efficient performance and existing problems concerned energy-conserved structure that are widely used.(3) On the premise of applicable principals, various energy-saving measures havebeen optimally designed and integrated following energy-saving analysis and evaluationof optimized design scheme. With the aid of the results of energy consumptionsimulation analysis, the practical and feasible measures in energy efficiencyoptimization are summed up.The conclusion of paper depends on the theoretical analysis and computersimulation which presents the certain reference value to Residential Energy-Saving.
