Signal processor is one of the most important components of the ship radar. Its responsibility include:the data processing and analysis of video echo, radar state control, as data transmission, etc. Based on the FPGA signal processor, the main tasks of the subject is the algorithm implementation of video echo of marine radar, including non-coherent cancellation processing and non-coherent pulse accumulation; the completion of the software of the display terminal of ship radar, including scanning processing of the echo data and system control instructions; based on the Ethernet, achieving the data communications betweens FPGA and display terminals.Several key technologies of ship radar systems are involved in the studies of this paper. First of all, introduced the signal processing technologies, highlighting the core content, namely the come true of the signal processing algorithms of ship on FPGA. The theoretical is introduction of the non-coherent cancellation processing and non-coherent pulse accumulation, and implementation through FPGA. Then, verification and analyze the results of simulation and experiment. Secondly, details the software design of display terminals, to analyze key technologies (such as data formats, coordinate conversion), and combined transport protocol (UDP) on the display terminal to achieve a whole. Then, another core technology for ship radar, that the mode of data transmission (Ethernet) between signal processor and display terminal is implementation. Highlights the realized of Ethernet communication based on FPGA, and the results were verified and analyzed. Finally, for the ship radar, especially signal processor overall testing and analysis, verification and analysis of various functional modules.Test results show that, the signal processor function properly in the system of ship radar. Achieve the processing and analysis of the video echo, and the overall control through the command. In short, the signal processor is fully meeting the requirements, with the expected results and, with high practical value.
