Circular ring pond of desilting filter(referred to as "the device") is a tentative device of low waterconsumption and broad desilting range of sediment grain sizes separation water-sediment.In order toexplore the dynamic hydraulic circular ring pond of desilting filter separation mechanism of water andsediment, and further optimize its structure type, to provide a theoretical basis for its promotion andapplication.In this paper, a method of combining experimental research and theoretical analysis circularring pond of desilting filter velocity field,deposition form and water consumption of sand desilting.The main conclusions drawn by the model experiments and numerical simulation are:(1)"The device" took422.5hours to arrive at a state can not form a circulation flushing under thecondition of1m3/s and0.45kg/m3sediment transport rate;The deposition volume is180m3.The waterconsumption is1.9%.(2)Comparison of the test results in three working conditions indicates that there will be differentinfluence of "the device" in different kind of heightened ring (30cm、50cm、80cm) weir.Heightened50cmis in favor of "the device".Under the premise of do not change the left and right sides velocitydistribution,reduced the difference between0°and180°.In two phase flow test of water and sediment,thesediment deposition is better than before.(3)Three-dimensional numerical simulation of circular ring pond of desilting showed that thereare two whirlpools in the both side of45°which is not conducive to "the device".
