In recent years, jet printing technology of fluid expands very fast, which is anon-contact distribution technology to form the desired accurate deposition of specificfunction fluid material on the substrate through jetting tiny droplets. Be different fromthe traditional subtractive manufacturing process, jet printing technology of fluid is aadditive manufacturing technology. With the fast jet speed, high allocation precision,no-contact, without pressure and strong controllability in jet printing process, high fluidmaterial utilization rate, the processing technology shows a great application potential inmicro-electronics packaging, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), manufactureof micro-optical components, materials synthesis, free forming and organismmanufacturing engineering. Therefore, further research on the mechanism of jet printingtechnology and design of printing equipment have important practical significance.Firstly, the mechanism of squeeze piezoelectric droplet jet printing technology isanalyzed. On this basis, the simulation model of squeeze piezoelectric droplet jetprinting has been established and jet printing process has been simulated in FLUENT.The jet printing process and the influence of driving parameters on the process havebeen analyzed.Secondly, the piezoelectric packaging jet printer including squeeze modepiezoelectric nozzle, X-Y-Z three-dimensional motorized linear stages and its motioncontrol system, electric controller and its control software, back pressure regulatingmodule, temperature control module and visual observation module has beenconstructed. The glycerol of58%consistency was used as jet object in the experiments.The effects of driving parameters on the performance of piezoelectric droplet jettingwere studied.In order to expand the research on the mechanism of jet printing technology,according to the jet printing of medium and high viscosity fluid, an mechanical valve needle extrusion jet printing technology is studied and the working mechanisms andperformance have been analyzed. On this basis, the simulation model of mechanicalvalve needle extrusion droplet jet printing has been established and the condition torealize jet printing has been simulated in FLUENT. The effects of structure parametersof nozzle, driving parameters of valve needle and fluid properties on the condition torealize jet printing have been analyzed.Finally, according to mechanical valve needle extrusion jet printing technologymechanisms, an mechanical valve needle extrusion jet printing valve including camdrive mechanism, elastic reset element, valve needle, jet nozzle, screw conveyingmechanism and heating device has been designed. The design of this valve has laid agood foundation for the further research of mechanical valve needle extrusion jetprinting technology.
