Flight safety is the foundation and guarantee of civil aviation development. The resultsof lots of flight accidents show that more than60%of them are caused by human factors inflight, which result in a large number of casualties and huge property losses. In order toeffectively deal with the accdients caused by human factors in flight accidents, there is anurgent need to strengthen the research of flight crew cognitive mechanism, establish a perfectsystem of pilot factors, and estimate probability of accidents caused by crew errors. Thesewill enhance the speed and efficiency to analyze reasons for flight crew accidents. Based onthe analyzing results of human errors and basic theory of human reliability, a study of flightcrew errors mechanism and virtual simulation are conducted. The main contents are asfollows:Firstly, based on the human cognitive ergonomics about information processing system,this paper analyzes a pilot cognitive process and error mechanism. During the flight, thepilot’s behavior includes perception, decision-making and performance. The cycle of the threestages is repeated to complete a flight mission. To control the flight safety, it is necessary toensure that pilots don’t make errors in each of the three stages.Secondly, build a flight crew error analysis model PDA. My research combines piloterror mechanism with quantitative analysis of human errors, building quantitative analysisPDA model with mutual error correction functions, directing the application method andprocess of PDA to guide crew error accident analysis.Thirdly, according to human error-causing analysis, human reliability assessment,aviation flight manuals and aviation expert opinion surveys, the flight crew error-causingfactors are worked out, and then the crew error factor quantitative analysis system is builded.The system is used to quantitatively described scenarios environment which could cause flightcrew errors.Finally, a virtual simulation of crew errors is studied. The crew errors simulationframework is constructed based on the PDA model, and the crew errors simulation system isdesigned, and a cabin windows damaged accident is simulated as a simulation example. It could obtain the probability of flight crew errors and got the approach of readucing humanerrors by simulation.Briefly, this paper takes flight crew errors as the research object, and studies itsmechanism. Flight crew errors analysis model is constructed, quantitative analysis of crewerrors occurring and crew errors virtual simulation are studied systematicly. This paper is anexploratory study of the human factor impact mechanism in flight safety; it promotes researchin virtual simulation on flight crew errors.
