As for the focus on low energy consumption and health of residential buildings in recent years, the energy-saving technical measures of climate adaptability in local dwellings also get more and more attention. The southern region of Liaoning belongs to warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate, and both maritime characteristics. Winter is cold and dry and summer is warm and rainy and the Sea-Land breeze and monsoon is obvious. Meanwhile, the resource of solar energy is rich. In order to adapt to the local climate characteristics, a series of energy-saving technology and climate adaptation measures in dewellings in the southern region of Liaoning are formed. It will make the significant contribution to the build-ing energy efficiency in China through the summary of the energy-saving technology of the adaptation to climate and use in modern building.This paper, first combs the energy-saving technical measures of climate adaptability in dwellings in southern region of Liaoning through the questionnaire survey and literature review, meanwhile analyses passive technical measures and corresponding strategy of build-ing thermal design in southern region of Liaoning by using the Weather Tool software.Then makes a measurement about dwellings of Dalian Jinzhou and analyses the thermal performan-ce of climate adaptive buildings from thermal performance of building surrounding structure, indoor heat environment condition, energy-saving measures in southern region of Liaoning. The results show that Bluestone Houses own a lower temperature variation coefficient and their thermal stability and Moisture-proof performance are better due to the relatively higher thermal inertia and lower water vapor permeability intensity. As a common energy-saving technical measure in local folk houses, attached sunspace is often built by experience due to lack of scientific design method. This situation not only cannot fully play the role of collecting heat and keeping warm, but also have a negative effect for lighting, ventilation, and heating energy consumption,Then analyse the thermal effect mechanism between attached sunspace and dewellings. And the dynamic thermal network is adopted to establish heat balance equations of the attached sunspace under different working conditions, and the calculation method of critical parameters such as convective heat transfer coefficient and air heat flow rate are analyzed. At the same time, experiment on the heat transfer process in sunspace is researched in winter and unsteady heat conduction of wall, convective heat transfer, heat cycle between attached sunspace and indoor air, air moisture transmission and operation adjustment are studied. The suitable calculation method about convective heat transfer coefficient and heat flux for the south of Liaoning province are get. Condensation on the inside of the glass wall make heat loss increases by about 37%, therefore, this phenomenon should not be ignored.Finally, this article analyses the existing energy efficiency evaluation method of attached sunspace, and puts forward the thermal performance evaluation method of attached sunspace based the collection efficiency, energy-saving rate and compensation energy. The evaluation method includes not only the actual operation energy-saving effect, but also principle of desig n and overheating in summer. Based on the evaluation method, the thermal performance of att ached sunspace in winter in southern region of Liaoning is evaluated.
