There are many islands in our country and the rock slope is an important composition of the island.The landslide instability of the island rock becomes one of major geological disasters of the island due to poor island rock lithology, serious structural plane cutting and role of rainfall to the rock seepage. According to the planning and construction, Changdao County requires to built roads around the island to excavat island slope toe inevitably, which is leading to the worse stability of rock slope.So how to choose an economic and reasonable supporting scheme to ensure the safe operation of the road has become the research emphasis of this article. This paper bases on special funds on Marine public welfare industry for scientific research projects and the research background is the rock landslides of Shanhou village of North long mountain in Changdao county and the following work will be completed:(1) First of all, the finite element strength subtraction and the finite element software ABAQUS are introduced, and physical mechanical parameters for the calculation of rock are obtained through geological exploration of north long mountain island. In addition, the variations of displacement and scanning of slope contour are obtained through VJ400 vibrating string type seam(displacement) measurement meter long and 3 d scanners to ShanHou Village rock mass of North long mountain island, which provides the basis for the establishment of the finite element model.(2) Typical section is selected to carry out stability analysis for the rock including the inherent structure in natural conditions, corresponding stability safety coefficient, the plastic zone, stress and displacement variation are obtained. According to displacement change of rock in north long mountain island ShanHou Village and the rainfall distribution of changdao county, the effect on the stability of the slope is analysised through the methods of equivalent reduction considering the rainfall and slope toe excavation, and the maximum rainfall and excavated volume of unit width of the slopes toe for the typical section are determined.(3) In considering of the largest rainfall and the most foot excavated volume of slopes for the typical section, three kinds of different support scheme are selected: bolting support, anti-slide pile support, bolting and anti-slide pile combined support. Calculating analyses are carried out for different support schemes by using the finite element strength reduction. The support scheme is determined for typical sections through comparing the safety factor of stability, plastic zone, the stress and displacement information under different support schemes.(4) The best supporting parameter value is determined through the realization of finite element strength subtraction in the software of ABAQUS and comparing the stability safety coefficient of the bolt and anchor cable for different angle and distance. Finally, the economical and reasonable support scheme is obtained through the optimized calculation of some support parameters such as the dip angle and distance of bolt and anchor cable.
