The current situation of deep-water bridge construction and the necessity of bridge model test were introduced at the beginning. Then research status of model test and model materials is comparative investigated. Emulation concrete and the material of model piers for shaking table experiment were taken as the main study subject.Firstly, methods for measuring elastic modulus of emulation concrete were analyzed, and whole standard distance method was chosen to measure the elastic modulus of emulation concrete. Secondly, how compressive strength、elastic modulus and peak strain varying along with age was studied. Thirdly, splitting tensile strength at different age and how the size of test specimen influencd its strength were studied. Fourthly, the relationship between shear strength and fracture toughness with age, and take the influence of the ratio of lip height to fracture toughness into consideration were studied.Then, the common methods of dynamic elastic modulus test were compared, and the law of dynamic elastic modulus change regular pattern with age was analyzed. How the size of cantilever element affected on its measuring result also was investigated. At the same time, how the specific value of dynamic elastic modulus and elastic modulus varying along with age was compared.Based on the pier-water coupling shaking table experiment, the results of shaking table experiment were analyzed and compared with the result of the finite element model, to discuss the applicability of emulation concrete in deep-water bridge model test.
