China has a long history and covers a vast area. Meanwhile, China is also amulti-ethnic country. For the difference of geographic positions and folk customs, thearchitectures in China vary in form. Recently, with the rapid development of ruralurbanization in China, the traditional residence in various regions is destroyedcontinuously. For this phenomenon, we should have a deepunderstanding and ensure the implementation of the protection of traditional residence, and then the historical and cultural value of ancestral cultural heritage can be reserved atthe same time. This paper mainly studies the formation process, spatial layout, building form oftraditional residence. By reforming thesurrounding environment, improving the residences and combining with the differentcharacteristics of local landscapes, a representative area for tourism with nativecharacteristic which combines human resources and ecological resources is formed to mainly protect the traditional residence.
