Along with the cold-formed thin-walled steel is gradually extensive in theapplication of building structure, accelerate the innovation of the cold-formedthin-walled steel. By the premise of thin-walled cross section shape more complexcases distortional buckling compored with global buckling and local buckling,Cold-formed thin-walled steel axial compression could be control factors of the bearingcapacity of components become the focus in research of steel structure. In my paper, thecold-formed thin-walled C steel web plate stiffening member under axial pressure hascarried on the finite element analysis.Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign scholars on the basis of the studymethod of cold bending thin-wall steel, it is concluded that in view of the stiffeningcomponents, the most widely used theoretical method is direct strength method, finiteelement method is one of the most common numerical methods. The methods oftheoretical and numerical method is introduced in detail, and the finite element modelwas established based on ANSYS software. Then verified the effectiveness of the method of finite element software, the coldbending thin-wall reinforced C payments distortional buckling bearing capacity of axialcompression member and the distortional buckling, and other related between thebuckling mode is analyzed, considering the initial geometrical imperfection of nonlinearis simulated. Of cold bending thin-wall reinforced C steel axial compression artifactscomponents in different length, different edge width, stiffener height and stiffener widthunder the influence factors such as the linear and nonlinear finite element analysis.Using the data from the finite element linear distortional buckling component by directstrength method to calculate. And the calculated results with nonlinear finite elementmethod, comparing the distortional buckling load of the results of similarity is very high.According to the results of finite element analysis, the bearing capacity of the coldbending thin-wall reinforced C steel components, is better than no stiffening C steelcomponents. By a large number of data in the case of other conditions unchanged, stiffener height of stiffener width, the bearing capacity of components. And get the highbearing capacity, stiffening components are relatively reasonable range of stiffenerheight of stiffener width.
