Hot rod subgrade can effectively protect the island of The high latitude north of subgrade in permafrost region and it protects the upper limit of permafrost from falling. The working principle of Hot rod is mainly leading heat of underground to atmosphere in the cold season, making bigger the scope of permafrost and rise the upper limit of permafrost, this will be conducive to the stability of permafrost subgrade. This article selects permafrost regions of Yichun Cuiluan area of Xiaoxin’an mountains, Qiannei road of the eastern part of Yichun to Beian AKO+250-AKO+420as test sections. We buried the112Hot rods in this test sections in2011. The way to embedding Hot rod subgrade has three types:upright type Hot rod subgrade, oblique inserted type Hot rod subgrade and L-type Hot rod subgrade. And we buried a total of25thermometer holes according to the actual situation and monitor the temperature data through MRDT600temperature monitoring system. This article is to analyze temperature observation data of the test sections. Different ways of embedding Hot rods have different cooling effect. In this paper, we will analyze temperature observation of the three kinds of buried way of Hot rod subgrade and further analyze the cooling effect on protecting permafrost subgrade of upright type Hot rod subgrade, oblique inserted type Hot rod subgrade and L-type Hot rod subgrade through the contrast and research. Research on the maximum of subgrade freezing and thawing depth and emerging month of three types of Hot rod subgrade and general subgrade. After a working cycle of temperature change and their respective cooling effect and influence scope, we will evaluate three kinds of Hot rod subgrade on the influence of ground temperature effect through the above analysis. The measured temperature data shows that the cooling effect of the three forms of Hot rod subgrade, which can effectively reduce the temperature of permafrost, and it is conducive to protect the permafrost over the years.
