This paper relies on the project "study on dry port construction and operation modein China’s western inland", and all the analysis data of instances in the paper derivesfrom this project.Dry port, as the port function extending to the inland, is the key node intransportation system and the international supply chain, connecting the regionaleconomy with the global supply chain. In order to enjoy the convenient service ofcoastal ports, inland enterprises satisfy the development of inland export-orientedeconomy and actively promote the construction and development of anhydrous port.Dry port is not only the window of reform and opening up in China’s inland areas, butalso the forefront of exploitation and opening in inland areas. However, with the fastdevelopment of dry port’s construction and the appearance of dry port groups,scientifically selecting the sites of dry ports and optimizing their collecting anddistributing system has become an urgent problem in the current logistics field.Firstly, the paper studied the theory of the dry port, elaborated the dry port concept,classification and functional analysis, and analysis the geometry of the inland dry portsystem, proposed the problem of the development of dry port. Then, based on thedescribe of the basic principles of siting and factor, evaluation system of optimizationsite of the dry port is built, as the evaluation index system to study the calculationmethod of the efficiency indicators, the multi-objective optimization model isestablished, and based on genetic algorithms to research the solving method. Later,analysis the connotation function, the basic requirement and factor of the inland dry portcollection and distribution system, future studied how to built a dry port collection anddistribution system. Finally, as Chongqing Guoyuan port, used the proposed drymulti-objective optimization model and collection and distribution optimize system toanalyze the example to choose14regions such as Nanpeng, Dazhou, Zunyi, Guiyang,Wanzhou and Qianjiang to construct dry port.Through the above research, the multi-objective model and the genetic algorithmsolving of Chongqing dry port is achieved. The paper present viable optimization andrecommendation of Guoyuan collection and distribution system. But, the paper do notconsider the impact factor, such as the economic indicator and industrial chainindicators, it need further study. Therefore, in future studies, the dry port multi-objective model and how to optimize Guoyuan collection and distribution system with thecombine with the information and the electronic commerce need meticulous research.
