In recent years, as China’s rapid economic development, transportation industry is also at the rapid development of its growing demand for bridges. China is experiencing a period of change of the old and new bridges. Many before built bridges’ technical specifications and load rating already can not meet the requirements of traffic at this stage, the resulting security issues seriously affecting people’s lives and property safety. So the bridge defect assessment to identify the corresponding Treatment method is urgent.Concrete Hollow Slab hinged due to its small height of the building, simple shape, making convenient, easy to spot the overall placement, etc., so that small and medium-span bridge in the widely used. But seen from the bridge has been built, there are some more typical diseases, such as broken pavement cracks, horizontal and vertical cracks appeared bottom plate, hinge joints of concrete spalling, etc. After the study showed that most of the reason is because of the weak of horizontal linkages not reach the shear strength requirements. Under the action of the transmission of transverse shear, hinge joint damage, or even complete failure hinge joints, undermining the integrity of the bridge, transverse load distribution failure, resulting veneer force,make the force of monolithic beam is too large. Produced the above diseases can also be caused problems worse with telescopic device, bearing damage, which affected not only driving comfort, but also to reduce the integrity of the bridge, the bridge has greatly increased security risks.In this paper, by empirical analysis, and read a lot of Hollow Slab information on the mechanical properties of the hollow slab bridge, hinge joints transfer mechanism to do a detailed analysis. Meanwhile, the study of hinge joints cause the destruction, the general characteristics and hazards are discussed and research. This paper describes the finite element analysis based on Midas Hollow Slab contrast with static load test to further validate Hollow Slab hinge joints transverse force transmission properties. By the finite element simulation of hinge joints injuries, make the load-bearing beams appear directly force single board. Observed appear single board force and deflection of the beam is greater than that when the hinge joints is good. However, other strain and deflection of the beam significantly less than the hinge joint is good, or even zero strain and deflection plates. Visible, hinge joints in bridge play lateral load transfer, so that the main beam to become the main force role of jointly.
