This paper studied on the compatibility, vulcanization and Co-vulcanization, practical application of CR/SBR blends by the methods of DSC, TG, two-phase crosslinking density and so on. It demonstrated the properties of CR/SBR blends before and after aging, and finally drawn the following conclusions:When CR and SBR were blended by different ratio, their Tg were close to each other. The blends can get better compatibility and mechanical properties when they were blended by 80/20. But, with the consideration of cost and processing properties, the rubber can also be blended by 70/30. Otherwise, the results indicate that the blends will get better compatibility with addition of compatibilizer. And the best mechanical properties were obtained when 4 phr EB560 D is used in.In different curing systems, the crosslinking density of CR phase was slightly increased while the crosslinking density of SBR phase was significantlyincreased. After aging, the variation of the total crosslinking density was mainly determined by that of the SBR crosslinking density. In common curing system without sulfur carrier, the blends performed excellently which were added by 2 phr sulfur and 3 phr Zn O. In common curing system included sulfur carrier, the blends could obtain good comprehensive properties with adding 0.8 or 1.2 phr sulfur. In peroxide curing system, the properties of the blends decreased with the increase of DCP/TAIC. Compared with peroxide curing system, CR/SBR blends had better properties when using common curing system. The effects of different systems on CR/SBR blends were studied. The result showed that PIB and TOTM has better plasticization than others and TP95 can improve the tear strength. The protection effect is good when 0.6<anti-4020<2.0 and 1.5<anti-AFS<2.4. The blends filled with Stron Wi NTC have better comprehensive properties. Coal ash can improve the abrasive resistance, and mica powder can reduce the elongation at break. According to practical application, one or more fillers can be used in order to meet the requirements. Meanwhile, the addition of CNTs can effectively improve the electrical and thermal conductivity of the blends, but it can reduce the adhesive property. When 4 phr CNTs is added, the comprehensive properties of the blends were better.
