The spinning forming process is a popular technique of wheel processing. Spinning wheel has the characteristics of light weight, energy-saving,material-saving and high precision which causes itself become a trend in the future and a good alternation of traditional pulleys.In view of the advantages of spinning wheel, it has been more and more widely used in the engine’s front end accessory drive system. Spinning wheel’s drive system design and its reliability analysis are listed as follows.1 To determine whether an attachment layout in a FEAD system is reasonable is the wrap angle of each attachment wheel.In this paper,we obtain the general formula of each wheel’s cornerite by the method of deduction.And we design an application to calculate the cornerite in FEAD system avail myself of visual basic. At last,we verify the correctness of the program by the sample of Huachen BRT1.8T.2 As the performance function of spinning wheel’s strength is usually a implicit function,we obtain its implicit performance by the method of response surface,and thus get its reliability index and failure probability.This article establishes the model of split spinning wheel’s strength response surface function in quadratic polynomial without cross terms.And we carry out many finite elements of spinning wheel to get the values of performance function which are used to solve the undetermined coefficient of performance function.Through the iterations of the response surface determination and reliability calculation,we get the strength performance function and reliability index within a given accuracy.And the result shows that the spinning wheel has a high reliability, but it is not suitable to reduce its size.3 When we use response surface method in quadratic polynomial to solve the reliability issues in engineering,efficiency of the calculation and accuracy of the result are affected by the chosen sample point to a large extent.We calculate the reliability of spinning wheel strength under the condition of the interpolation coefficient being 1,2,3 and first being 3 and then being 1 respectively in the iteration of response surface.The result shows that the interpolation coefficient first being 3 and then being 1 can not only ensure the accuracy of reliability index, but also greatly reduce the amount of calculation.
