Keeping fresh for fresh produce, especially fruit and vegetable products have been paid attention for many years in the agricultural industry during the postharvest period. Controlling the ripening process accelerated by ethylene and the senescence process caused by the microorganism breeding is one of the key factors to ensure the quality of fruits and vegetables. And using functional preservation packaging film is a kind of effective way to implement the packaging for fruits and vegetables.This subject takes LDPE as base material, ZSM- 5 zeolite, as ethylene scavenging, titanium dioxide as photocatalyst to scavenge ethylene and be the antimicrobial agent to prepare a kind of packaging film with the function of ethylene scavenging and antimicrobial. The effect of inorganic fillers on the physical properties, ethylene scavenging performance and the antimicrobial performance of the packaging film was studied. The main research contents and research results were as follows:1. Prepared functional packaging film with zeolite and titanium dioxide. The packaging film was prepared by extrusion-casting method. The tensile strength, elongation at break, gas and water vapor transmission coefficient, and the crystallization performance were measured in order to find out suitable preparing process for packaging film. The result shows that, as for the physical property of the packaging film. The result shows that the existence of inorganic fillers will decrease the film’s tensile strength and elongation at break, its 2, 2 and 2 were all intensified except the titanium dioxide modified LDPE’s 2 was decreased by its amount increased. And the effect of fillers on melt temperature is not obvious, the crystallization temperature is lower than pure LDPE film. The melting enthalpy and crystallization enthalpy increased first and then decreased with the fillers amount increased.2. The evaluation for ethylene scavenging performance of the functional packaging film. Study the gas chromatography method to detect ethylene concentration, and the effect of different filler and its content on the packaging film’s ethylene absorption and transmittance property were tested. The result shows, compared with the scavenger, the scavenger modified film’s ethylene scavenging property decreased and is not obvious.3. But for two kind of fillers modified LDPE film, its ethylene scavenging performance is quiet obvious. With the amount of zeolite and titanium dioxide increased, the packaging film’s ethylene scavenging performance was strengthened. Especially when the amount reaches 10wt%, the ethylene concentration in the film bag decreased by 100% within 48 hours, the ethylene concentration cannot be detected.4. The evaluation of antimicrobial property for functional packaging film. Analysis and select suitable standard to study the effect of different titanium dioxide content on the packaging film antibacterial properties. The result shows when titanium dioxide’s weight amount reaches 5wt%, the film’s antibacterial efficiency is more than 90%, which meet the requirements of relevant standards that the film is antimicrobial.
