Bayan Obo Mine Ecological Environment Assessment Analysis And Repairing Measures

In order to solve the environmental damage of mining explorations, to realize the coordinated development of economic development and ecological environment protection in mining area, and responding to national ecological civilization, our country pay attention to construct ecological green mining in recent years. Baotou Bayan Obo mine is the industrial hub of Baotou, and famous in the world of "rare earth capital". It has made important contributions for China’s economic construction. At the same time, it also caused some environment issues such as the atmospheric pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, vegetation destruction and so on, which caused the geological disasters and soil and water loss, severely damaged the local ecological environment.This article fully investigate the present situation of ecological environment factors in Baotou Bayan Obo mining area, and do hydrologic analysis using hydrology calculation method of the "Inner Mongolia autonomous region hydrologic handbook", and analyze intensity of soil pollution, soil erosion and vegetation destruction using GIS, and do analysis of atmospheric dust pollution status and geological disasters through the combination of formula and GIS. On this basis, with the support of GIS and the model of Modelbuilder, find out the ecological environment sensitive area and make ecological restoration on it. Open stope, discharge field, tailings pond, these three areas is also sensitive areas in the comprehensive evaluation of ecological sensitivity. This article, focus on making ecological restoration measures on the open stope, discharge field and tailings pond, According to the characteristics of its corresponding and various environmental factors on the corresponding ecological restoration measures are put forward, improving their vegetation coverage and reducing dust pollution and soil pollution, controlling soil erosion.Making scientific analysis and evaluation of ecological environment, direct at Bayan Obo mine ecological restoration, is an important stage in green ecological mining construction of Bayan Obo mine, at the same time, it can improve the ecological environment of the Bayan Obo mine and improve the quality of the local people’s life.
