The anacardic acid which was main constituent of cashew nut shell liquid(≥60%) would be converted to cardanol after high temperature carboxyl removal. The decarboxylated cashew nut shell liquid could be basic material of separation and purification and further processing in national and international research. The sepecial chemical construction of cardanol made it widely used in research of green surfactant field.1. The decarboxylated cashew nut shell liquid, as a raw material, was separated and purified by these methods of TLC, AgNO3-TLC, silica gel column chromatography and silver nitrate silica gel column chromatography. And cardanols and saturated cardanol were obtained by the methods. The separation products were characterized by FT-IR and LC-MS.2. Using candanols and saturated cardanol as raw materials, chlorosulfonic acid as sulfonation, and dichloromethane as solvent, cardanols sulfonate anionic surfactant and saturated cardanol sulfonate anionic surfactant were prepared through the sulfonation reaction and neutralization reaction. The sulfonated products were characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR.3. Using the Wilhelmy hanging-plate method to measure the surface tension of cardanols sulfonate anionic surfactant and saturated cardanol sulfonate anionic surfactant. Results show that the critical micelle concentration(cmc) of cardanol sulfonate and saturated cardanol sulfonate were 0.0006mol/L and 0.0005mol/L, surface tension(γcmc) at cmc were 38.1mN/m and 36.3 mN/m, respectively.4. The interfacial tension of surfactants and oil were measured by spinning-drop method,the evaluation of interfacial activity of products showed that value of cardanol sulfonate was0.0583 m N/m, saturated cardanol sulfonate was 0.0097mN/m when concentration of base was1.2% and concentration of salt was 3.5%.5. The core experiment in laboratory demonstrates that the cardanol sulfonate flooding has enhanced by 10.14% more than that of water displacement, and saturated cardanol sulfonate flooding has enhanced by 13.35%.The above results had great significance for the further research and application of green cardanol surfactant.
