Analysis Of Social Insurance Reform For Migrant Worker

Two kinds of social insurance system have been implemented for migrantworker in Shanghai in the past few years. One is comprehensive social insurancefor rural household register; the other is urban social insurance for urbanhousehold register. According to the new social insurance law, comprehensivesocial insurance was abolished on1July,2011while the migrant workers, whoonce participated in comprehensive social insurance, began to participate inurban social insurance. At that time, about4.08million migrant workersparticipated in comprehensive social insurance, and about47thousand migrantworkers participated in urban social insurance.It has been two years past since the social insurance reform was carried outin July2011. Through the study of the relevant data and investigation reports，we can see the influence on the enterprise and individual persons after“comprehensive insurance”reforming to “urban social insurance” from theessay. For one thing, the thesis analyses the problems and the reasons aboutcomprehensive social insurance through the insurance rate, the payment rate,and coverage rate; for another, the thesis describes the differences between twoinsurance systems based on injury insurance, endowment insurance and medicalinsurance; Finally, the thesis set up an evaluation system to assess the effect of“comprehensive insurance” reforming to " urban social insurance " and throwout suggestion.
