Land is the human survival and production sites, not all the land on the earth can be used due to the reasons such as soil, vegetation, geomorphology and climate. Today, with the relation between people and land increasingly nervous, natural supply is limited, so how to make full use of the natural supply adjusting economic supply and rational allocation of various types of land use structure has become a problem. With the theory of poverty constantly updated, from the initial material poverty research to today’s comprehensive study of various aspects of poverty, people’s understanding of poverty is deepened. It is of great significance to effectively solving the problem of poverty for the improvement of people’s living standards and for building a well-off society in an all-round way.Based on mountainous area-LuQuanXian as the study area, this paper aims to explore the associated coupling relations between the mountain land use and regional poverty, with the aid of SPSS software, using factor analysis and grey correlation methods in this study. The research contents and results are as follows:1,To select nine livelihoods indicators, do factor analysis of the data from the194villages in2007and2010.The results show that:Pingshan town livelihood assets is the highest scores, Snow Mountain township and the Black country are much lower, composite score was reduced from southwest to northeast, the Dam areas of the villages overtop the Mountain villages; farmers’net income has a certain degrees of increase in2010, Pingshan Town village’s growing rate increased considerably, and remote mountainous villages’ increased lesser; the livelihood assets composite score of Dam villages are generally positive, but that of the remote mountain villages are generally negative.2, Land use and regional differences in land use in the study area are analyzed from2005to2008,including the first, second and tertiary structure analysis. The results show that:the proportion of agricultural land, construction land and unused in the study area were72.99%,1.62%and25.39%respectively. Forest land area in agricultural land is77.8%, the rural residential areas and independent industrial-mining land area is73.17%; Regional land use difference is obvious, high utilization rate of land and unused land of less is Pingshan town, the unused land area of Snow Moutain township in remote villages is more than50%; farmland area is in a decreasing trend in the study area from2005to2008,, but It appeared to increase farmland area and construction land, unused land in decreasing trend in2007.3. To establish index system of land use, regional economy and farmers livelihoods, to select14land use indicators and12indexes of regional economy, farmers livelihoods, with the aid of SPSS software, using the factor analysis to calculate comprehensive index of land use, regional economy, and farmers living composite index respectively, and use the coupling and the coupling development degrees formula to calculate coupling and coupling degree of development of16villages and towns. the results show that:l high quality coordination development class,2good coordination development class,2intermediate coordinated development class,5primary coordination development class,4reluctance coordination development class and2endangered disorder class; the coupling development degree reduced from southwest to northeast, coupling development degree is the lowest in the northeast mountain towns and coupling development degree is the highest in the southwest area township.4. to calculate land use, regional economy and farmers livelihood index correlation, with regional economy and farmers livelihood indicators for reference sequence,with14land use indicators for compare sequence, to calculate difference sequence, the biggest and minimum difference, correlation coefficient and correlation degree through the initial value. the results show that:land use, regional economy and farmers living factor correlation degree is higher, generally up to0.6;Agricultural land area, land utilization, rural residential land is the high proportion of the total area and transportation land area also accounts for high proportion of total area, construction land area, regional economy, and farmers living system of index correlation degree is higher.
