More than30years since the reform and opening up, the private manufacturing enterprises in china has gradually grown, and made important contribution for our country’s economic growth. In recent years, the growth rate of manufacturing are above9%, the growth rate of private economy is much higher than the GDP growth rate during the same period. The private economy has become an integral part of the socialist market economy. However, under the current international and domestic situation in which the overheating of incorporeal economic, lower profit margins, the private manufacturing have to convert capital investment to the real estate industry and other industries. Domestic overcapacity, import and export blocked, imported inflation pressure is still large, also makes our private manufacturing industry facing life or death choices. With respect to state-owned enterprises, private enterprises is large in the proportion, and have a greater proportion of the GNP, the healthy development of the private manufacturing enterprises is directly related to the quality of the national economy as a whole in China, and in relation to the socialist modernization success.In this paper, on the background of Porter’s traditional competitive theory and the "Blue Ocean Strategy", and on the basis of scholars’ study of business transformation and competitive strategy selection home and abroad, through the study of the the transformation strategy theory and practice of the private manufacturing enterprises in China,based on the analysis of several major problems faced by the private manufacturing industry in China, as well as the reasons for these deep-seated problems, find out the traditional theory and modern enterprise transformation’s "adaptability", combined with the manufacturing of some foreign countries and regions’successful experience of industry business’transformation. Combined with our own reality, the depth excavation of a competitive strategy which is suitable for the transformation of China’s private manufacturing-comprehensive advantages of competitive strategy, on the basis of national and regional economic planning at the same time, the private manufacturing industry in China is divided into three regions and northeast manufacturing industry area, combined with the conditions of each region, corresponding to the regional application of integrated competitive strategy, which seeks to enhance the overall competitive advantage of China’s private manufacturing industry in the international market, to make the private manufacturing industry’s successful transformation of the competitive strategy. In order to achieve this comprehensive advantages of competitive strategy, from the enterprise level and the government level corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to guide the development of the private manufacturing industry of our country toward a more healthy direction.
