Besides, with the development of our national economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, people’s demands for vegetables and then their demands for the distribution of vegetables also increase. Logistics with high efficiency and low cost is needed to realize the economic and social value of vegetables.Today, the logistics service of the bulk commodity has reached a great scale, and the improvement and modernization of related facilities of the logistics service have been playing an important role and have made a great performance. With the construction and investment in the logistics industry from the government, the logistics industry has been developing vigorously. However, there are still many problems in the logistics and distribution of vegetables. The problems should be solved so as to keep up with the economic development. Recently, the retail price of vegetables has been going up for several times, affecting people’s life. Much attention has been drawn to the phenomenon and the root reason of the increasing price is the high logistics cost which results in the high cost of vegetables. The vegetables wholesale market is the collecting and distributing center of vegetables, collecting vegetables in various ways from which many logistics problems can be seen and represented. Besides, concerning the special characteristics of the logistics service, the logistics service must put the various kinds of needs of the market as its priority. The cost of logistics is dependent on the various needs of its clients. Therefore, this paper makes an analysis of the current situation and existing problems, puts forward some suggestions at the same time based on a case study of the vegetable wholesale markets in Wuhan. A proper usage and allocation of the logistics resources is emphasized so as to establish a logistics system with high efficiency, and to lower the cost for clients to the greatest degree, making both parties of the logistics system benefit the most from the system with modern science and technology.
