Research On The Competiveness Of Electronic Information Industry In Jilin Province

Electronic information industry is not only a strategic high-tech industry thatcountries striving to develop, but also a new economic growth point of country’sfuture economic. Electronic information industry is playing an increasingly importantrole in Jilin economic development, and it is listed as a pillar industry by Jilinprovinces. Jilin Province has good basic conditions for the development of electronicinformation."Northeast area revitalization plan" was approved by State Councilofficially in August2007, in which stressed the importance of electronic informationindustry and the construction of national electronic industry base in Changchun. JilinProvince in2008combined with the actual proposed eight industries jumped plan,while the electronic information industry is on the list of the eight industries.Therefore, researching on the electronics information industry in Jilin Province, inparticular on the competitiveness of electronic information industry,has certainsignificance to promote the development of electronic information industry in JilinProvince，at the same time, can promote the development of the national economy.This paper established the evaluation index system of electronic informationindustry competitiveness which was based on the industrial competitiveness theoriesin Jilin Province.Then using multivariate statistical analysis method of factoranalysis to analyze the date of Jilin Province in2001,2006and2010and extractingfour factors which influence competitiveness of electronic information industry,andusing factor score of electronic information industry to analyze Jilin Province in thecountry’s static position and Jilin Province dynamic trend. From the analysis we canidentify the advantages and disadvantages of Jilin Province. Thus we proposecorresponding measures and suggestions. However, the paper uses correlationanalysis and gray relational analysis to study the relationship between industrialagglomeration and competitiveness of electronic information industry in Jilin Province, from which we can get the conclusion that industrial clustering can enhancethe competitiveness of the industry.
