With the appearance of smart mobile phone, the popularization of3G technology and thecoverage of WiFi, mobile phone can be access to the Internet more easily and quickly, and theapplication form has been diversified. What kind of impact does mobile phone have onundergraduates’ learning behavior in this situation? Through the questionnaire and individualinterviews, this paper discusses the influence of mobile phone on undergraduates’ learningbehavior and thinking mode in the course of learning.Firstly, by investigating the theory of learning behavior research, it was expounded that thedefinition, characteristics and application of mobile phone, and the characteristicsundergraduates’ learning behavior. This paper analyzed and summarized four typestelephone-based learning behaviors in college: telephone-based browsing information learningbehavior, telephone-based communicating information learning behavior, telephone-basedsharing information learning behavior and telephone-based solving problems learning behavior.Secondly, based on the theory of learning behavior, this paper hypothesized that mobilephone affect undergraduates’ learning behavior, and designed the questionnaire to investigate. The current status and characteristics were analyzed in order to verify the hypotheses. Conclusions are summarized: mobile phone has positive impacts on undergraduates’self-learning behavior, and the effects on information browsing based on WeChat and mobilesearch function are significant. Furthermore, the impact of mobile phone on undergraduates’traditional learning behaviors shows more harm than good.Thirdly, according to Behavioral Science Theory, interview outline about individualbehavior and group behavior was designed, which explored the undergraduates’ attitude andmotivation on telephone-based learning, the influence of mobile applications on their thinkingmode, the influence of the group mobile application behavior on individual learning behaviors, the effect of individual interactions on mobile phone’s auxiliary function to undergraduates’ study. Conclusions are summarized: college students have a positive attitude toward telephone-basedlearning, and the effect of mobile phone has two sides on their thinking mode. Additionally, undergraduates’ learning behaviors based on mobile phone are relatively independent. Finally, according to the findings, they were summarized that the current status of themobile phone’s effects on undergraduates’ learning behavior and the existing problems inphone-based learning. The strategies of three aspects for optimizing undergraduates’ learningbehavior based on mobile phone were put forward, and they are schools, educators, undergraduates themselves. In schools, improving rules and specifying students’ classroombehaviors are the main recommendation, which in order to establish a good learning atmosphere;as for educators, improving their sense of responsibility is significant. They can provide studentswith excellent learning resources on mobile phone while they regulate students’ behaviors. As forcollege students themselves, they should plan their free time rationally, and exploretelephone-based learning resources to improve their comprehensive ability.
