Hyperspectral remote sensing has many characteristics, such as much more bands, higher spectral resolution, image-spectrum merging, huge amount of data and information redundancy. With the improvement of spectral resolution, hyperspectral remote sensing can obtain approximate continuous spectral information feature as well as the ability to identify more land coverage. Image preprocessing techniques, which occupies an important position in hyperspectral image processing and analysis, is the basis for the application and analysis of hyperspectral image and directly affects the quantitative analysis and information mining later. Therefore, it is of great significance to study hyperspectral remote sensing preprocessing technology and applications.In this thesis, the hyperspectral remote sensing image preprocessing techniques are investigated firstly. And then hyperspectral image preprocessing software is achieved.The major works are as follows:(1) Hyperspectral image preprocessing techniques is introduced, including conventional image data format, spectral and radiometric calibration technique, the specific implementation process of radiometric correction, S WIR background radiation elimination method, and geometric correction technology. Geometric correction technology based on POS data is analyzed emphatically, which includes exterior orientation elements, spatial coordinate transformation and resampling methods.(2) For the purpose of improving the efficiency of hyperspectral image preprocessing, parallel processing of geometric correction is investigated. Three parallel ways are involved,such as windows multithreading technology, OpenMP and MPI. The advantages of OpenMP in improving data processing and CPU efficiency are mainly studied.(3) In Windows environment, based on VC++implement, using the Microsoft Foundation Class Library (MFC) and algorithom encapsulation, highspectral image preprocessing software is implemented. According to the principles of software design, the software architecture is constructed.Then, functional modules of software are designed and implemented, such as data presorting module, radiometric calibration module, geometric correction module, and immediate processing module, etc. Multithreading technology is used in geometric correction module, and immediate processing module is involved to provide fuctions of a key processing and batch processing to ensure the efficiency of data processing.
