Virtual crop combining agriculture science and information technology, it use the computer to simulate the growth of the crop, and describe morphological structure of crop with using realistic3Dmodels.This study focuses on the subject of wheat,based on the existing wheat growth model and morphological model.This study focuses on geometric modeling technology, realistic rendering technology, and collision detection technology.based on vc++and OpenGL library, I developed a visualization system of wheat,applying light shadow, realistic rendering technique into the systom,design and implement collision detection and response algorithm of individual and group of wheat.Light is the most influential environmental factorof the wheat growth.Whilethe wheat is always cast the shadow on their own or ground, or other organs of wheat in the sun,so shadow is the important visual characteristics of the wheat. In this paper, the shadow generation and rendering technology of wheat was studied.Based on the traditional shadow mapping algorithm,adopt the method of depth migration solution unable to generate the correct wheat leaves shadow graph and the shelter problem,implement Pcf on GPU to simulate soft shadows of wheat.Analyzes the applicability of the algorithm, shadow depth migration was proposed to solve the generation wheat shadow figure of light phenomenon, compared the traditional shadow map method and application based on GPU and percentage for soft shadows near the filtering on wheat shadow generating effect, and different filter check generated shadow effect of wheat. Analyzes the applicability of the traditional algorithm, proposed to solve the generation wheat shadow figure of light phenomenon by using depth migration,compared with the traditional shadow map method and pcf algorithm of soft shadows for wheat shadow generation effect,and the influence of different filter processing to produce wheat shadow effect. For the cross phenomenon of wheat organs in the process of assemble into individual, designed and implemented collision detection algorithm which based on bounding volume hierarchy tree technology.For the various organs of wheat, this method first tessellates NURBS surface to get triangle data, building of all triangles bounding volume hierarchy tree structure, usesthe result of intersection test of the bounding box to determine whether the triangle intersection, finally determine whether theleaves intersection,For the erect stem and grain,I use configuration parameters of them to building the single bounding box, and the same separation axis theorem is used to determine the intersection condition, For the single wheat, using the longest axis segmentation method to establish a single stem bounding volume hierarchy tree for collision detection,Finally, the leaf using different bounding volume hierarchy tree algorithm are analyzed and compared, and the collision organs and individuals realize the effective collision response mechanism.Example analysis shows that the algorithm can be effectively used wheat visualization of individuals and groups, to improve wheat form visual sense of reality is of great significance.
