In recent years, the major disasters occurred frequently around the world. Those major public events bring huge damage and painfulness to the human. The emergency rescue work becomes the focus of world attention. Our country is one of the most serious countries affected by those major public events, so it’s important task to give early warningof major public events, to support disaster reduction and public rescue information release. This thesis designs a communication base station that works after a disaster based on Wi-Fi technology, GSM technology, and the Beidou satellite navigation system. The base station builds a wireless AP host after disasters. The affected residents using their mobile phones or other smart devices connecte to the host. They fill in and send their information through their mobile browser. When the base station server receives those information it forwards those information to the disaster relief command center through Beidou satellite navigation module or GSM module. Main work of the thesis is as follows:(1) Requirement analysis. After analysis of the current post-disaster way of communication, we found that emergency relief based on the radio and satellite communication technology has characteristics for professional users and thatthe public have the demand for calling for help and communication after disaster.(2) The design of the overall architecture of the system and the desing of the hardware system. Including describs the functionality of the system and the system module, design and select hardware of the system, analysis of the features of the system board, Wi-Fi wireless module, Beidou satellite communication module and SIM900A module, and the design the hardware interface between those modules.(3) Design of the software configuration and the collection of the information from the victims of the disaster. Transplantation embedded Linux system, USB network adapter driver, Hostapd and DHCP server, configure BOA server and CGIC library. Design information acquisition software on the WEB server, the function of the program is gathering information from the affected residents through their mobile browser, separation and save these information. Then, transfer these information to the Beidou communication board program and GSM module program through the pipe.(4) Design of the GSM module communication program. Including the serial port initialization, inspecting of the status of the GSM module and setting up working mode of the module, cyclic query of data and sending them to the disaster relief command center, cyclic query of unread SMS and saving these SMSs to the specified file. Then, design Beidou communication board program in a similar way.(5) Debugging the system and analyzing the problems of the system. Finally, summary and prospect of this theis is presented.
