Since the1990s, network control technology has been widely applied in many fields in the national economy accompanying to the rapid development of control technology, computer technology and network technology. It reduces the connected complexity, reduces the weight and volume, enhance the flexibility and reliability of the control system. EtherCAT technology shows its many advantages for its speed, high reliability, real-time and good synchronization in automation. The research is developing the EtherCAT master/slave embedded communication controller and applying in the multi-axis motion control system based on EtherCAT technology. The main contents include:Explore the development process of distributed systems development background and bus technology, judge the EtherCAT bus with other industrial bus, analyze the performance advantages and trade advantages of the multi-axis motion control system.As a clue to the network technology, in-depth study of the operation principle of real-time industrial Ethernet EtherCAT and related implementation techniques proposed master/slave clock synchronization algorithm for distributed clock.Discussing the advantages and feasibility of developing the EtherCAT communication controller on AM3359platform based on the Embedded EtherCAT master/slave communication controller.As the goal of developing of embedded systems, researching the architecture and related key technical details of the embedded EtherCAT master/slave controller.Professional testing tools based on independent research and development of EtherCAT master/detailed testing and analysis of performance and with EtherCAT international standards conformance station communication controller.Based on the developed EtherCAT master/slave controller, the research achieves a preliminary work on the three-dimensional and three-axis motion control platform CNC milling machine.
