The Research Of Tacit Knowledge Mining Based On Ontology

In the era of knowledge economy, tacit knowledge has become an important strategic resource. An enterprise would get the initiative and success with mining information resources from the tacit knowledge better. However, due to the tacit knowledge exists in the brains of individuals with the features of elusive, exclusiveness and monopoly, it is difficult to achieve the expression and dissemination of tacit knowledge in conventional means. Therefore, it is significant to find valuable information and participate in market competition for the enterprise with introducing the knowledge management mechanism, doing tacit knowledge mining and making the tacit knowledge of target population dominance.However, the traditional methods which used for tacit knowledge mining that based on keyword matching mainly is lack of a unified concept description. It caused these problems that individuals has their own understandings on common semantics, knowledge sharing is inefficient between organizations and the recall ration and precision ration is low in retrieval. The quality of the information can’t satisfied the users’ requirements.For the lack of traditional method for tacit knowledge mining, this paper do the tacit knowledge mining study based on ontology. Details are as follows:Firstly, the paper review the history of the finding of tacit knowledge and summarize the concepts, features, and the research status.Secondly, it discusses the general process of tacit knowledge mining and propose ontology-based tacit knowledge mining process model by combining with the features and applications of ontology, and discuss the function of this model.Thirdly, do the research on assessment-knowledge representation in the field of corporate image, construct the Corporate-image Domain-specific Ontology which has multi-language mapping and the Resource-description Ontology. And then establish an association between the two to combine into Corporate-image Assessment Ontology.Fourthly, propose the design ideas of ontology-based corporate-image tacit knowledge mining system by referring the ontology-based tacit knowledge mining process model and Corporate-image Assessment Ontology. And then make a preliminary plan which is helpful to the ontology-based tacit knowledge mining system constructing in the future for the man-machine interface module, the knowledge retrieval module, and the knowledge reasoning module to demonstrate the feasibility of the system.
