The RFID Technology is widely used in many fields as purveying management, production management, and logistics management and so on. However, the main partof the RFID system, especially chip level design technology, is a shortcoming. Tosettle this problem, this paper studies the use of digital signal processing technologysuch as shaping filter and decoder in UHF RFID system based on FPGA.To reduce the transmission error and save the use of frequency spectrum, thepaper design the shaping filter located between the digital baseband circuit and RFcircuit. The filter can filter multiple frequencies at one group of coefficients. Thepaper uses the MATLAB software to design the filter’s coefficients and simulates thefilter designed in Verilog HDL by using Modelsim software, and finally shows thespectrum result of the filtered signal. The result shows that the filter reduces theconsumption of the area of circuit and reduces the complexity of the design. For bettersignal detection, the paper proposes a new architecture of the decoder which canimprove the SNR of the digital signal and synchronize the received data after learn theexisting decoder architecture. Furthermore, the new architecture is designed with anew principle of the frame end detection. The thesis also tests the new architecturedesigned in FPGA and gets the message of its delay and consumption of the circuitarea. The test results show the new architecture can reduce the delay of detection from12.5us to2.0us.The thesis communicates the new designed models with RF circuit and controlpart, and analysis the difficulty of realization. Moreover, the thesis elucidates the portinformation between each other. Finally, the thesis tests the whole system and analysisthe test reports.
