ABSTRACT:TETRA protocol analyzers, which are used for the protocol conformance test of TETRA equipments, can guarantee the interconnection between the switching and management infrastructure and terminal equipments of different manufacturers. As the software of air interface protocol stack processing in the TETRA Protocol Analyzer has the function of spectrum scanning, frame and multiframe synchronization and signaling plane/user plane switching detecting, it is an important part in the TETRA protocol analyzer. Therefore, the research and development of the software for stack processing is the key point of the development of the protocol analyzer.First of all, the development situation of protocol analyzers for kinds of mobile communication systems at home and abroad are summarized in this paper. Based on the analysis of the structure of TETRA digital trunked protocol analyzers, the structrue of the software for air interface protocol stack processing in TETRA Protocol Analyzer, PDUs in the data link layer, PDUs in the network layer, primitives between the upper MAC and the lower MAC are described. Then according to the key technologies of the TETRA spectrum showing, the TETRA signal identifying, frame and multiframe synchronization, and signaling plane/user plane switching detecting, the processing procedure of the apectrum scanning module, the processing procedure of TETRA signal identifying module, the processing procedure of search module, the processing procedure of check module, the processing procedure of track module, the processing procedure of the module in the data link layer, and the processing procedure of the module in the network layer are designed. Next, on the PXA270ARM platform which is based on the embedded Linux operating system, the TETRA spectrum scanning module, the TETRA signal identifying module, the search module, the check module, the track module, the processing module in the data link layer, and the processing module in the network layer are developed by the C programming language, in order to achieve the function of the TETRA spectrum scanning, the TETRA signal identifying, frame and multiframe synchronization, and signaling plane/user plane switching detecting. Finally, according to the theory of the black box, the spectrum scanning module, the frame and multiframe synchronization module, and the signaling plane/user plane switching detecting module of the software for air interface protocol stack processing in TETRA Protocol Analyzer are tested, and the results of tests show that the function of the spectrum scanning, the frame and multiframe synchronization, and the signaling plane/user plane switching detecting are implemented by the software for air interface protocol stack processing, which can satisfy the demands of users.
