The key factor for the reverberation chamber performance is the stirrer, while the dimension, shape, assembly position and etc. factors exercise a great influence on the reverberation chamber performance. So by traditional methods, there is little possibility to design a fit stirrer for the different reverberation chamber.This thesis puts forward two type stirrer’s designing schemes, in the conditions that the stirrer can be assembled into the limited space of the reverberation chamber and doesn’t affect the practicability, to maximize the performance of the reverberation chamber.Firstly, this thesis systematically analyzes the stirrer’s designing methods in the domestic and overseas, and the already existing stirrer’s designing schemes, emphatically illustrates the problems of the stirrer’s design and assembly from the shape and the reverberation performance, and then puts forward the design schemes based on the finding problems:1. For EMC reverberation chamber is an electrically large problem, so the FEKO software was chosen as the simulation software.2. For the reverberation chamber is different from the normal rectangular cavity, so a optimized double N rotary type stirrer was designed.3. This thesis creatively puts forward the concept of the swing stirrer, and designs a swing Z type stirrer.Learned from reverberation chamber stirrer design method at home and abroad, the design scheme which has been practical used and the problems which should be considered, this thesis mainly does work from the following several aspects:1. The calculation result of the same reverberation chamber model in different simulation software has been compared, and chooses the high simulation accuracy, convenient modeling, and little simulation time consuming FEKO software as the reverberation chamber simulation software.2. Reverberation chamber simulation models have been established, including14kinds of rotation stirrer models. The influence of the reverberation chamber’s main performance has been compared, put forward four meaningful suggestions to guide the rotation stirrer design.3. The swing type stirrer has been put forward independently, and eight kinds of swing stirrer have been analyzed, puts forward three meaningful suggestions to guide the swing stirrer design.4. A double N type rotation stirrer has been made, which has been used in the laboratory. The reverberation chamber mixing performance in which this stirrer has been used has been actually tested, the correlation between the simulation data and the measured data is very strong, and the requirements of the standard IEC61000-4-21about the reverberation chamber performance were met.
