The Design Of The IPTV Architecture In The Scene Of Three-screen Syncretism

In the process of the three nets fusion, due to the factors such as history,economy and policy, the concepts of the three-screen syncretism appeared, namely byusing the resource of the Internet, broadcast Network, and mobile phone network,share service and content between user’s computer, TV and mobile phone. Thethree-screen syncretism is the future of the Chinese IT industry.IPTV is a kind of technology that provides multimedia, online community,interactive game and other services to users through the internet, broadcast network,and mobile phone network. The characteristics of IPTV and the goal of thethree-screen syncretism is consistent, therefore IPTV become the major breakthroughof the three-screen syncretism.Launching the IPTV business under the background of the three-screensyncretism, not users get the service and content through the three networks, but toform a good interaction and content sharing between the three networks. At present,when deploy IPTV business, different operators and regions according to differentIPTV standards, and also different terminal manufacturer and service provider supportdifferent DRM mechanism. The IPTV system of different operators and regions can’tcommunicate with each other, the content can’t be switched and shared betweenusers’ terminals, which limits the development of the IPTV business and reduces theusers experience. The repeated deployment of IPTV content providers and serviceproviders wastes manpower, material resources and financial resources. This paper dothe following work to solve this problem:(1)Analyzed the research background, significance and purpose of the IPTVunder the background of the three-screen syncretism, reviewed the research status ofIPTV at home and abroad. DRM, set-top boxes, user access control and the contentdistribution are also studied.(2)Studied the ITU-T, ETSI TISPAN and OIPF IPTV standards. From the IPTVarchitecture and content and service protection two aspects analyzed the OIPF IPTVstandard, which laid a foundation for the next step of the IPTV system design.(3) Analyzed the problems of the IPTV under the background of the three-screen syncretism, put forward two kinds of IPTV architecture: an IPTV architecture that cansupport multiple DRM mechanism and an IPTV architecture that realize the seamlessswitching between the computer, TV and mobile phone.
