"Shengjing Times" And The Local Autonomy In Late Qing Dynasty

This paper attempt to summarize and sort out the social comments of local self-government in which "Shengjing Times" has reported about in late Qing Dynasty in order to discuss the relationship between "Shengjing Times" and the local self-government in late Qing Dynasty,including the application of the theories of history, journalism and political science, in addition, this paper will observe the facts how the "Shengjing Times" participate and play a role in the reform of local self-government as a media in late Qing Dynasty in way of analyzing the social comments of local self-government in which "Shengjing Times" has reported about. The text can be divided into four parts:The first chapter discussed the background of the foundation of "Shengjing Times"and the sketch of the local self-government in late Qing Dynasty, besides,analyze the motives of the local self-government which has reported about by "Shengjing Times".The second chapter discussed the guiding role of public opinion from local self-government which were made by "Shengjing Times" in late Qing Dynasty, and mainly include the following aspects:The "Shengjing Times" advocated the meaning and function of the start-up of local self-government, and how the "Shengjing Times" discusses the relationship between constitutional success and local self-government, how the "Shengjing Times" preach the mission of reform to Qing government officials who participate in reform of local self-government, and the advice that "Shengjing Times" bring to the reform of local self-government of Qing Dynasty.The third chapter mainly analyzed the relationship between "Shengjing Times" and the local self-government was launched by the district of Fengtian which has started the "Shengjing Times". Firstly, this paper discussed the fact that the "Shengjing Times" has very concerned about the development of local self-government. Secondly, observing the facts that how "Shengjing Times" reported the local self-government in Fengtian and discussed the effects which were made by "Shengjing Times".Thirdly, discussed the problems of local self-government, which has reflected in "Shengjing Times".In the end, the paper has made a conclusion of the whole text.
