To make up the limitation of high cost and inflexibility of traditional multi-axis control system, this paper presents an embedded programming and compiling software of multi-axis motion control system based on ARM.Firstly, based on the framework of the function of the project, this paper designs a hardware of interactive device on embedded ARM. Some standard devices are added to extend functions as memory storage and display, it communicates with DSP and FPGA throw serial.Secondly, develops a kind of robot control language based on VAL language, with basic function and weld control orders. Using Lex and Yacc, an interpreter which translate code of robot control language to machine code is developed.Then, Linux is transplanted on the ARM module, a graphic user interface using Qt/Embedded as the framework is designed, providing powerful capability of editing through touch screen. And it also provides teaching function of endpoint and single axis.Lastly, this system has been successfully applied on am3517platform. To present the function of this system, we designe a program with a test path, it is compiled and worked on, the results shows that the robot language can be accurately translated and the system works properly.The system use embedded structure, provide a smaller size and a lower cost. At the same time the system is reliable, easy to control and friendly.
