LED light source has the advantage of small size, low power consumption, long life, lighter weight, and clear source. These can not be achieved by conventional light sources,so it plays a vital role in the development of LED lighting industry. The fiber has the flexible propagation characteristics of light to any place, coupled with the LED light source and optical fiber will meet the practial diversity of application. LED light source is facing the problem of light output efficiency, heat dissipation, and cost issues. The LED heat problem is studies in there paper.Firstly, the LED and fiber characteristics and distinctive performance are introduced in this paper. The LED per-performance at home and abroad is studied, as well as the problems faced by LED in the heat of the research and development of products. Then describes the hazards problem generate by the LED heat. Some heat and cooling calculations are studied in this paper. Then, based on the overall appearance of the proposed design requirements, independent research and development to match the radiator with LED, with increasing power for the LED junction temperature rise and lead to life sharp attenuation characteristics, to take active and passive heat combining heat dissipation and design a new radiator. Then thermal analysis, wind speed, airflow, temperature is analyzed in the ICEPAK. Based on the analysis of the results, the final prototype is completed during the modification process. Compared with experim-ental test prototype, the prototype has been tested and the cooling effect, fully able to meet the design requirements.
