With the development of the society and the globalization of the economy, logistics industry has also been prospering, as the main body of the port handing and a sign of port modernization level, port equipments are also developing toward the strong carries, large-scale, high-speed, continuative and automation. Although the development of port machinery reduce production costs, improve work efficiency, meet the needs of users to a certain extent, but at the same time the fault frequency caused by complex port machinery is becoming more and more high, the economic losses and casualties are also getting serious. In order to prevent a disaster and improve the level of modern management in port, we designed the port crane video monitoring system based on Ethernet.For the practical application of the project, the video surveillance system will play the role of bedding.The research background of this thesis is the actual project in zhangjiagang An Yuan group, the system is constructed after reading a large number of relevant papers and combining with the on-the-spot investigation. The main contents of this paper are as follows: First of all, this article introduces the background and significance of this study, indicating the importance of harbor video remote monitoring system, and analyzes the related domestic and foreign research.Then the article describes the key technologies used in this system, the compression algorithm MPEG-4used in video processing, video transmission protocol HTTP/TCP and RTP/UDP, and the communication mode,and gives a brief introduction to the overall design of this system. Secondly, this article introduces the system hardware equipment and the software component module, Software part using C#language, based on the.NET system and B/S software structure, focuses on the design processes and the implementation of the special functions. Finally after debugging, the system is preliminary proved to be stable.This article summarizes the research results, points out some flaws,and puts forward some ideas for the further research work, and is a great help to the construction of port video remote monitoring system.
