| The rapid developments of microblogging and social networking broughtsocial attribute to the entire Internet. Due to inherent aggregation features,SNS have gradually developed into an open platform. While platform-basedapplications and games development will produce more earnings, socialsharing widgets greatly enriched user generate contents and brought usersback to the third-party websites. This phenomenon is actually a evidence ofSNS’s growing potentiality to directing users to other sites.Weibo.com had been aware of this trends, so they built a platform anddeveloped a series of social sharing widgets, for instance, the sharing buttonand group timeline. As the sharp growth of mobile users, Weibo.com hadimplemented many mobile requirements, like the sharing button for mobile.This paper is based on the design project of sharing button widget formobile and group timeline widget from Weibo.com. It describes the design andimplementation process and its main content is about the section of userresearch and information architecture. At the beginning, we introduce theproject background, analysis about competitive products at home and abroad.The detailed analysis is carried out from four dimensions: implementationtechnology, profit model, features, interactive experience. Then, it bewriteshow to create a user model and compose a thorough usage scenario. By thismeans, user’s true requirements and experience goals f inally have beencaptured.The most critical part in this paper is discussing how to reach theexperience goals through comprehensive consideration. Interaction systempath, task flow and page flow analysis based on usage scenario are necessaryto the task-oriented information architecture. Detailed pages interface designcontains layout design, navigation design, information design, control design.At the last, with the cooperation of graphic designer and front-end engineerproducts pass the intranet test to meet the customers online. |
