As the development of microelectronics and Ethernet technology, the application ofEthernet technology in industrial monitor field is an important development trend of the thecurrent industrial control fieldbus technology. EtherCAT fieldbus is a kind of industrialEthernet fieldbus of high real-time performance,high reliability and flexible topology and issuitable for application in the field of industrial monitoring. At present, the EtherCAT fieldbusreceived wide attention and research in the field of industrial control. The EtherCATtechnology has been concerned and research in the field of industry monitoring widespreadly.In this paper,based on in-depth study of EtherCAT fieldbus and embedded DSPtechnology, combined the EtherCAT fieldbus technology with the embedded DSP technology,built new fieldbus measure and control terminal and make overall planning of the hardwaredesign and software development of the measure and control terminal.In the aspect of hardware, measure and control terminal hardware circuit usingseparation design approach” function control board and EtherCAT communication interfaceboard and HMI equipment”. The control board uses the TMS320F28335DSP of TI companyas the kernel processor; EtherCAT communication interface board mainly uses the ET1100ofBeckHoff as the data link layer, the PHY chip (KS8721) of MICREL as the physical layer.Under the guidance of the overall hardware program,the following work is finished: Mastercontrol module design, communication interface module design, control interface moduledesign,signal detection interface module design and power module design.In the aspect of software, it consists of measure and control terminal softwaredevelopment and EtherCAT master station software development. Measure and controlterminal software development mainly for DSP development and design, used the modular,hierarchical and structured design methods, used the DSP/BIOS real-time operating systemfor developing each function module of measure and control terminal and setting priority ofmodule processing. EtherCAT master station software development is developed mainlyunder the Windows operating system based on the MFC design of the master control interface,realized the EtherCAT master basic communication functions and displaying function.Finally, on the basis of the hardware and software design of measure and control terminal,built experimental platform, test measure and control terminal main function moduleindependently, completed the EtherCAT communication experiment, SPI communication,signal detection experiment and servo drive experiment and analyzed the related experimentalresults, verified the feasibility of measure and control terminal design.
