With the rapid economic development, the contradiction between dwindling stock of fossil fuels and growing demand for electrical energy becomes more and more prominent, so the research of solar power, wind power, hydrogen power and other new energy has become essential.Micro-grid as a new distributed power supply approach, using abundant energy storage as power generation, can supply power both with main grid or alone.It’s a very promising smart power supply form. The multi-agent system as a distributed control method, is more suitable for micro-grid coordination of the various distributed power control compared to traditional centralized control method because of its distribution and flexibility, so in-depth study of multi-agent system applicated in micro-grid power supply has a very important practical significance.In this paper, micro-grid simulation model is established as the controlled object. Multi-agent system is designed for the micro-grid simulation model to realize the monitor and control of micro-grid simulation model. Several examples are taken to verify the control effect of multi-agent system under different operation status of micro-grid. The main work of this paper and research findings are summarized as follows:(1) A typical micro-grid simulation model is builded, including photovoltaic cell simulation model with the function of maximum power tracking and fuel cell simulation model as power generations, battery charge and discharge model as energy storage device, and sensitive load and resectable load depending on the different sensitivity.(2) Multi-agent system including underlying control agents, upper control agents and environmental agents is designed and realized to monitor and control the operation stasus of micro-grid. Underlying control agents achieves the basic functions of photovoltaic cell supplying power at maximum point, fuel cell supplying power according to the reference value, battery regulating voltage and frequency of micro-grid and so on. Upper control agents achieves the upper functions of dynamic displaying and storage of the operation status of micro-grid, coordination and control of the components in micro-grid and so on.(3) Every agent in designed multi-agent system has features of individual autonomy, self-adaptive and self-connectivity. Every agent can accomplish simple tasks independently, and can communicate and coordinate to solve complex tasks when needed.(4) By setting the parameters in micro-grid simulation model at different values, the control effect of multi-agent system under different operation status of micro-grid is verified. Operation results show that designed multi-agent system can well realize the function of coordination and control of the operation status of micro-grid at operating conditions of micro-grid.
