Perspective Of School Physical Education Report On <China Sports Daily> During2011-2012

Elite sport makes huge success for China in international stage, however,school physical education and mass sport slows the process of China beingsports power. School physical education is the foundation of mass sport andplays important elements in sport culture.‘Sunshine Sport’ and nationalschool physical education videophone conference indicate the governmentattaches great importance to school physical education and try to acceleratethe development of school physical education. The two-way relationshipbetween sport and media makes the communication of school physicaleducation is highly effected by mass media. This research involves the issueof school physical education from the perspective of communication. Theobjective of this research is report of school physical education on <ChinaSports Daily> during2011-2012. The methodologies of this research areliterature method, content analysis, and statistics. It tries to analyze themedia agenda of <China Sport Daily> from the respect of Report Amount,Report Frequency, Report Type, Layout Place and Picture.The conclusions are:(1) the report of teaching in school physical educationoccupies the largest amount of report. The report of development of school physical education holds the second largest amount of report. These twotypes of report represent the emphasis and tendency of agenda setting of<China Sport Daily> in school physical education.(2) The news dispatch is the most common literature type in the report ofschool sports event and school sport activity. Deep commentary andinvestigative report need be raised.(3) Youth physical health is one of the most significant elements in theagenda setting of <China Sport Daily> in school physical education andmost of reports are headline news. The increase of picture enriches thelayout design of newspaper and it is mainly on the report of school sportevent and activity.(4) The reports of policy development in school physical education in<China Sport Daily> always stand for positive perspective. It emphasizes theconsensus building of policy development in school physical education. Theother mass media are affected by this agenda setting.(5) The reports play positive role in the supervision of developmentproblems and balanced development between western area and eastern area (urban area and rural area). It achieves the function of <China Sport Daily>as the official paper of State General Administration of Sport and performsthe social responsibility.(6) The development of school physical education, the communicationwithin school physical education and the communication of youth health arepromoted by reports of school physical education in <China Sport Daily>though the sight of report is narrow. And the critical report is insufficient.The suggestions are (1) clear the function and social responsibility of <ChinaSport Daily> in the development of school physical education.(2)Emphasize the perspective and depth of agenda setting in the report ofschool physical education.(3) Promote the timeliness, authority andinteractivity in the report of school physical education.(4) The <China SportDaily> needs to lead the mass media in school physical education and try todrive the atmosphere of consensus.
