In recent years, lung cancer incidence and mortality has continued to rise, and hasbecome one of the major diseases that threaten human life and health. Radiationtherapy is one of the lung cancer treatment options, but because of the impact ofhuman respiratory movement, leading to the dynamic changes of the lung tumorlocation, has brought great difficulties to the radiation therapy tumor. Therefore, it hasbeen exporing that rule of organs displacement change along with the respiratorymovement.The time factor is added to in the process of scanning and reconstruction of theCT image, appearing four-dimensional computed tomography(4DCT, Fourdimensional computed tomography). Compared with conventional CT4DCT imagescan be real display of spatial form organs and tumors in the whole respiratory cycle,reflecting the organs and tumors motion law, for the study of respiratory motion oflung cancer radiptherapy and build the dynamic model of the lungs provide a viablemeans. The main content of this study is the use of the4DCT images to achieve thedynamic modeling of human lungs, the main work is shown as follows:(1) Utilizing clinical human lung image data sets, by image registration, sorting,and segmentation processing, and thus obtained human lung contours and bronchialtissue structure data.(2) Huaman lung dynamic modeling system is achieved using the developmentplatform of Visualization Toolkit(VTK) and Visual Studio2005combining.(3) The system packaged the main function algorithm to read arbitrary path ofJPEG or DICOM image sequence. Using two different algorithms, that are surfacerendering and volume rendering, to have drawn three-dimensional visualization modelof human lungs in each phase, including the contour and bronchi of the lungs.(4) Obtained the human lung volume-phase diagram through Volume calculationfor each model. We get the size of the movement range of human lungs up and down,front and back, left and right with distance measuring function.The system designed in this paper, has good man-machine interface.
