With the rapid development of information technology and the growingpopularity of Internet, Internet has gradually become the main way for people toobtain and disseminate information, people can easily obtain all the necessaryinformation from Internet. However, due to the huge amount of information inInternet, and Internet information was explosive growth, it is difficult to quickly andaccurately obtain the information which meets individual user’s needs, then increasethe user’s cognitive burden. For the purpose of solving access to informationproblems and reducing the user’s cognitive burden, we investigate and research deepthe user interest model in personalized information access to technology.First, we have a comprehensive introduction about the current research situation,key technologies and related issues of user interest model. There are currently a lotof methods in building user interest model techniques, but there are somedeficiencies. For example, without considering the user cognitive ability to discovercollaborative users and analyze user interest, user interest update fusion, especiallyno considering attenuation of user interest. Meanwhile little studied on informationmeasurement of user interest model.Secondly, according to currently existing problem of user interest model. Weproposed the study and application of user interest model(UIM) based on theory ofcognitive psychology, including the detailed process in updating user interest model,measuring of user interest information, and finding of collaborative users. buildinguser interest model use depending on the idea of cognitive psychology theories andmodels, and using the keywords and the relations between keywords and keyword topresent the user interest model, enabling accurate acquisition and representation ofthe user interest. Update and integration of user interest model is the fusion ofkeywords and relations between user interest model fusion based on memory theoryof cognitive psychology, which can accurately obtain the user a sense of information of interest. In this paper, we propose the measure of user interest model, which is theinformation content(IC) and the information increment(II) to measure theinformation size depending on the information entropy in information theory, so asto solve the user guidance information metrics for understanding user cognitiveabilities. Finding in collaborative user base on the contrast model, according toK-Means algorithm to obtain the collaborative users which is similar interest withcurrent active users that include the calculation of similarity keywords and relationsbetween keywords. In the calculation of the similarity between users, we not onlytake into account the same characteristics between users, but also consider differentcharacteristics which is the unique characteristics of the user, and accurately obtainthe degree of similarity between the user, provide a precise value of the distance forthe K-Means, then obtaining accurate collaborative users.Finally, through the medium of information access platform depending on B/Sstructure, Web of Science academic database data as data source, and obtaining thedata which users participate in interactive activities, to verify feasibility andeffectiveness of the theory and method which is proposed in this paper.
