Optical burst switching(OBS)is a new optical switch technology.It combines theadvantages of optical circuit switching(OCS) and optical packet switching(OPS) and isa promising technonogy. The OBS granulalaty is between OBS and OCS. It has ahigher bandwidth usage than OCS and a lower realize difficulty than OPS. Its basic ideais to group business packages which are in the same source node and have the samedestination node and converge them into a burst package, and generate thecorresponding BCP. By sending the BCP in the independent control informationchannel in advance, OBS obligate an information channel for BDP and as a resultrealize the all optical transmission. Optical burst switching can satisfy the requirementsof diversity and sudden of the Internet business. At present, the key problem in opticalburst switching technology is the packet loss rate. Because all-optical buffer device isnot mature, processing the competition of the burst packets is one of the difficultproblems of OBS. It in a large extent affects the network performance.The basic object of this paper is to study the resolution in burst competition, andhave a deep research on the settlement mechanism of all kinds of resolution ofcompetition, and have put forward some new solutions on the bases of the existingsolutions--burst coding scheme based on cutting and caching, burst coding schemebased on the partial radiation routing and burst coding scheme based on OBDR. Themain content of the paper is as follows:First of all, introduce the architecture of optical burst switching network, thestructure and function of core node and edge node, the working principle of opticalburst switching, etc and have a detailed study of the theoretical knowledge, a detailedanalysis of the convergence of the algorithm, the edge nodes in optical burst switchingnetwork control protocol.Secondly, propose a solving mechanism of OBS competition conducted in-depthresearch, analyses the burst cloning, burst coding and burst coding scheme based on thepriority preemption.Finally, propose three new coding schemes-burst coding scheme based on OBDR,burst coding scheme based on cutting and caching and burst coding schemebased on the partial radiation routing. The fisrt solution apply OBDR to burst codingscheme to reduce the burst loss rate The second solution is to apply cutting and cache toburst coding, making full use of breaking intervals between packets and avoid the lossof the low priority DB; The third solution apply partial shot routing to burst codingscheme, making full use of the routing resource at the expense of the computationalcomplexity and time guarantee received successfully;. In order to prove the feasibilityof these three schemes, simulation platform is established, the main realization processof each part in the simulation platform is given, and the simulation analysis on grouploss rate is given out. The simulation results show that all of the burst coding schemebased on OBDR, the burst coding scheme based on cutting and cache and the burstcoding scheme based on partial shot routing can reduce the burst packet loss rate andimprove the performance of the network to some extent.
