Although there’s some fluctuations in the number of reports as different yearswith the report of urban village by people’s daily(2000-2012), the overall showing anincreasing trend. In the reported tone, overall coordinated with the government policy,some report keep in a neutral position, rarely involve supervision by public opinion.Source of news, government departments hold the primacy, followed by newsreporters, urban village residents and social elite few.In the news agenda, the work of the government issues occupy the dominantposition,Vulnerable groups issues have a low degree of concern; Interest demands ofthe residents of the urban Village is flooded,In the reported keywords, there’s"reform","problem","trouble","shedtransformation"/"Urban transformation" and other mainkeywords.Reported discourse pattern of distribution: Government-led discourse course,showed the great skill and sufficient capacity of the control field of discourse; Mediaautonomy, public service function of the news media play a lesser role, mostlyemerged in the passive situation; the reason is that their buildings are severely illegal,they lack of confidence in the expression of interest demands,political literacy is low,the lack of expression of awareness and skill.The main problem of the report: News reports are not flexible enough,reliesheavily on stereotypes; residents of the urban Village lack the rights to speak,it’s verydifficult to hear their vioce; Media itself voice is weak too,there is no independentreview of the papers, and no editorial; Some works outdated style, rigid mode ofthinking, language is full of "cliches". On the recommendations of the reports: Get ridof a framework for advocacy looking for newsworthy; Accurate positioning in depthexclusive; Strengthen remarks to make their voices heard; Improved style to enhancethe readability of the reports.
