With the rapid development of modern communication technology, the operationfrequency of communication system becomes higher and higher, and the whole systemtrends to become low profile, light weight, low cost and high integration density. Thetraditional microwave integrated transmission lines, such as microstrip line, co-planarline and co-planar waveguide, are small, light, low cost and highly integrated. However, these transmission lines have a bad performance in microwave high frequency for theirunclosed structure. Metal waveguide has excellent performance in microwave highfrequency, while it has bulk mass, heavy weight and high cost. That’s why metalwaveguide is not suitable for small mobile handheld device. Substrate integratedwaveguide technology, is able to equivalently realize metal rectangular waveguide onplanar PCB. It makes a balance point between the performance and the bulk. Recently, many scholars have done a lot of researches on this technology and got abundantaccomplishment. Nonetheless, this promising technology has hardly applied in actualengineering. This thesis tries to transform research achievement to actual product, in order torealize the value of research achievement. The main content includes:1. A new multichannel substrate integrated hybrid transmission line was proposedwith feed structure of each channel, which is designed according to actual situation. Thesimulation result has proved that the proposed structure has low insertion loss and highisolation between each channel, and realizes wide band frequency reuse. It provideshigh speed interconnect a new kind of solution.2. Simulated annealing algorithm is an efficient global optimization algorithm, which has been demonstrated. This thesis utilizes the radiation characteristic extractedfrom HFSS to process relatively accurate E-plane pattern synthesis. Through theoptimization of two examples, the excellent performance of simulated annealingalgorithm has been demonstrated in the application of antenna pattern synthesis.3. Based on the required targets, several of considerations are proposed, such asoverall scheme, feed network, input/output transition and so on. Besides, the result of each experiment is analyzed to improve next version. Finally, fault-tolerantcharacteristic is studied to value the performance deterioration caused by error ofprocessing technology and substrate parameter. All the required targets have beensatisfied.
