In today’s military applications,UAV is very popular,the completion of complexmilitary tasks need the mobile Ad hoc UAV network.Various organizations take upresearch the mobile UAV ad hoc networks among many countris, and proposed UAVnetwork would be a special Ad hoc network. Most of the UAV ad hoc network’sresearch is still in the simulation research stage, has not yet put forward a very maturetechnology.For routing technology,selecting or designing routing protocol has nounified conclusion,but evolving and improving existed Ad hoc network routing protocolin network layer contributes to improve the performance of the UAV network.Subject of this study comes from a project,which I participated in my graduatestudent stage.The contents and objectives include two aspects: on the one hand, studythe front-end network’s routing protocols, this network undertakes investigation,detection and combating,design a suitable routing protocol, and check the superiority ofthe routing protocol by simulation experiment;On the other hand,study the relaycommunication backbone network’s routing protocols, design the best sub-cluster sizeof the relay routing protocol,and check the consistency of the experimental andtheoretical values by simulation experiment.For the UAV front-end network,authorselected the most studied OLSR routing protocol. After understanding this classicrouting protocol,combined speed consciousness and energy consciousness into theclassic OLSR routing protocol, accomplished the design of a speed and energyconsciousness OLSR routing protocol——SEA-OLSR,and accomplished simulation onOPNET network simulation platform, checked the superiority of the new routingprotocol by simulation experiment.For the UAV relay network,author focused on theclustering routing protocol,proposed the sub-cluster size’s impacts on the networkperformance.Accomplished analysis of all the factors influence on Clustering ad hocnetwork performance, determined the sub-cluster size problem’s initial conditions ofmathematical modeling, accomplished the mathematical modeling of the bestsub-cluster size, derived the analytical expression of the maximum throughput and theaverage network communication delay, and checked the consistency of the experimental and theoretical values by OPNET simulation experiment.The idea and method proposed in this paper about the mobile Ad hoc UAVnetwork routing protocol has been applied in a research institute’s practical projects,and writer made the extension and promotion on the basis of these projects.The resultsof this paper can be applied not only to the mobile Ad hoc UAV network,but alsoextended to other Ad hoc networks.
