As a key technology of the next generation Internet, Web2.0is a kind of information service focusing on users and genuinely realizes users individual information sharing and retrieval. With its appearance, folksonomy has gained more and more attention. With the increasing number of users and tags in the system, the diversity and ambiguity of tags bring about much inconvenience to resource retrieval. As an important part of Semantic Web, ontology provides explicit semantic relations between concepts, and therefore achieving ontology-based semantic retrieval by enhancing the semantic relations between tags in folksonomy system with ontology is becoming research hotspot at home and abroad. This paper mainly research ontology-based semantic retrieval model in folksonomy.First of all, the research status at home and abroad of folksonomy is analyzed, and the retrieval problem of lacking semantics in folksonomy system is explicit. Ontology is introduced, and achieving ontology-based semantic retrieval in folksonomy is becoming one of the main researching trends.Secondly, an ontology-based semantic retrieval model in folksonomy is built. The model consists of seven modules:resource labeling module, tag recommendation module, query process module, semantic search module, result process module, user feedback process module and ontology construct and manage module, and the retrieval process and function of each module are stated in detail. Finally, construction of specialized ontology for folksonomy system, one of the key problems for achieving semantic retrieval is studied. This paper proposes a comprehensive approach for deriving ontology from folksonomy, and we also conduct an experiment to verify the validation of the method. The results showed that, compared with traditional ones, this method is high in speed and costs little in manpower and material resources, and most important of all, it’s a specialized ontology for folksonomy system, and it is more appropriate for achieving ontology-based semantic retrieval in folksonomy.
